Youth Education

Food is a fundamental human necessity and an integral part of everyday life. Yet, many young people have limited understanding of how food is produced, processed, distributed, and consumed, or how agrifood systems influence human health, livelihoods, biodiversity, and the environment.

The World Food Forum (WFF) Bangladesh recognizes that limited access to quality agrifood systems education remains a significant barrier to meaningful youth engagement. Addressing essential questions—such as Where does our food come from?, What are we really eating?, and How does climate change affect food security and nutrition?—is key to empowering young people to make informed decisions and contribute to sustainable food systems.

The WFF Bangladesg Youth Education Program is designed to bridge this knowledge gap by equipping students, educators, and early-career professionals with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to become informed leaders and changemakers. Through innovative learning resources, capacity-building programmes, educational events, and collaborative initiatives, the programme fosters a deeper understanding of agrifood systems and empowers young people to drive sustainable transformation at local, national, and global levels.
