Local Youth Action
While the challenges facing agrifood systems are global, meaningful and lasting transformation begins with local action. Empowering young people within their own communities is essential to developing context-specific solutions, strengthening local institutions, and accelerating progress toward sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agrifood systems.
The World Food Forum (WFF) National Chapters serve as national platforms that empower and connect young people to lead locally driven initiatives while contributing to regional and global agrifood systems transformation. By bringing together youth from diverse backgrounds—including students, young professionals, farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, civil society organizations, and community leaders—the Chapters foster collaboration, innovation, leadership, and collective action to address national and local food systems challenges.
