Strengthening partnerships for a sustainable agrifood future in Bangladesh. 🌱

The World Food Forum Bangladesh Chapter was honored to participate in the event “Five Decades of FAO Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP): A Legacy of Agricultural Transformation and the Inception of Tomorrow’s Solutions”, organized by FAO Bangladesh on 12 July 2026 at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC). The event marked the 50-year legacy of FAO’s Technical Cooperation Programme while launching five new priority projects aligned with Bangladesh’s national agricultural development agenda.

Representing the World Food Forum Bangladesh Chapter, our National Chapter Leader, S. M. Riaz-us Saleheen, had the privilege of meeting with Mr. Jiaoqun Shi, FAO Representative in Bangladesh, and Mr. Imanun Nabi Khan, Assistant FAO Representative (Programme). During their discussion, they exchanged perspectives on the vision and ongoing initiatives of the World Food Forum Bangladesh Chapter, while exploring opportunities to further strengthen youth engagement and collaboration in transforming Bangladesh’s agrifood systems.

We sincerely appreciate FAO Bangladesh for bringing together government institutions, development partners, research organizations, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration for resilient, inclusive, and sustainable food systems. We look forward to working together to empower young people as key drivers of agrifood systems transformation.
