How can cross-sector collaboration accelerate the transformation of Bangladesh’s agrifood systems?
On 6 July 2026, on behalf of the World Food Forum Bangladesh Chapter (WFF Bangladesh) our National Chapter Leader Mr. S M Riaz-us Saleheen participated in the Day 2 of Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue organized by FAO Bangladesh as part of the SCOPE Mission. The dialogue brought together representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), the private sector, and financial institutions to explore pathways toward more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems in Bangladesh.
Representing youth voices in the discussion, WFF Bangladesh highlighted the critical role of young people in driving agrifood systems transformation. The Chapter emphasized the importance of creating enabling opportunities for youth engagement, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and capacity development through stronger collaboration among CSOs, development partners, academia, the private sector, and government institutions.
The dialogue also provided a valuable platform to strengthen connections with diverse stakeholders and explore future partnerships that can support youth-led initiatives and collaborative action for sustainable agrifood systems.
WFF Bangladesh extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Dia Sanou, Deputy Country Representative of FAO Bangladesh, and the FAO Bangladesh team for ensuring that youth perspectives remain an integral part of national dialogues on agrifood systems transformation. Meaningful and lasting change can only be achieved when young people are recognized as active partners in shaping the future of agriculture and food systems.
Together, through collaboration, innovation, and shared commitment, we can build more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems for Bangladesh.
